20 Seater Serpentine Table
Product names are usually marketing. This one is closer to a spec sheet. “Big Event 20 Seater Metal Leg Serpentine Table Seating” is eight words, and each one raises a question worth answering before you order. The table is SKU AM-906 from Aulobao. Let’s go word by word.
The page in brief
- Material: stainless steel with an MDF or glass top
- Color: gold or silver (the spec table also lists rose gold)
- Categories: Wedding Table, Serpentine Table
- Usage: wedding, events, banquet, party, outdoor
- Price: 980 USD in the page data
- Packing: EPE foam, bubble wrap, waterproof bags and cartons. One container’s quantity packs well, per the listing.

“Big Event”
This tells you the table is meant for a room where you need one long, continuous run of seating. Think a head table across a stage, a long guest table for a family dinner, or a feature table that curves around a dance floor.
It also tells you to check your venue first. A serpentine table takes more floor space than its seat count suggests, because the curve pushes chairs outward. Measure the room before you fall for the shape.
“20 Seater”
This is the number that needs the most scrutiny. Twenty seats could mean twenty on one side, or ten per side on a table with two seating edges. The page doesn’t say.
Here’s the arithmetic, which is mine and not a spec. Allow about 24 inches (60 cm) of edge per guest for a plated dinner. Twenty seats on one edge needs roughly 480 inches, or 40 feet. Twenty seats split across two sides needs half that per side, around 20 feet. Those are very different tables.
Ask for the total length along the seating edge, and whether the listed count assumes a tight fit or a comfortable one.
“Metal Leg”
Legs decide knee room. A serpentine curve already pushes seating positions around, so a leg in the wrong place can land under someone’s chair. Ask where the legs sit relative to the seating positions, how many there are, and how thick they are.
“Metal leg” also points to the stainless steel base, which suits a gold or silver finish and holds a heavy glass or MDF top without flexing. Ask whether the finish is plating or coating, because legs take the knocks when chairs get pushed in and out.
“Serpentine”
A serpentine table has an S-shaped curve, and it’s normally built from curved sections that join together. That matters because it affects shipping, setup and storage.
The page doesn’t say how many sections make up this table or how they connect. Ask whether it ships in separate pieces, how the pieces lock together, and how many people it takes to set up. A 20-seat table in one piece is a very different freight problem from a table in four sections that stack flat.
The curve also gives you layout options a straight table doesn’t. It can wrap a dance floor, follow a stage edge, or snake through a room to break up rows of round tables. If you plan to use it in more than one shape, ask whether the sections can be rearranged.
“Seating”
The word at the end is a reminder that this table is about the people around it. Check the chair height against the table height, and check how wide your chairs are. Wide throne-style chairs take more room than slim banquet chairs, and 20 seats can shrink to 16 fast.
Curved edges also make for uneven spacing at the bend. Ask whether the seat count assumes chairs on both the inside and outside of the curve.
MDF or glass
The top comes in MDF or glass. Glass is bright and reflective, and it brings candlelight to the table. It’s also heavier, shows every fingerprint, and needs careful crating. MDF is lighter, tougher in transit and easier to keep tidy.
On a table this long, weight matters. A long glass top can be hard to move without a crew, and a single crack means replacing a very large piece. If the table will be moved between events, MDF is usually easier to live with.
Before you order
Get the following in writing: total length, width, height, number of sections, and how many people the seat count really assumes. Ask about the finish, the weight, and what the 980 USD price covers, whether that’s the whole table or a section.
Order a sample section if you can, and test how it joins up.
Where it fits
It fits large weddings, banquet halls and gala dinners where one long table beats a dozen small ones. It’s less suited to small venues or events where tables get rearranged often, because a long serpentine run is awkward to reposition.
