What each material is doing

How long does a charge last? For an evening reception of four or five hours, you want to know the stool lights up for the whole event.
What’s the seat height? Bar stools come in several heights, and a stool that’s too tall or too short for your counter is a miserable surprise. Confirm the number against your bar height before anything else.
Where it fits
A reception bar or cocktail hour is the obvious spot. It also works at a welcome lounge, a DJ booth counter, or a dessert bar, anywhere guests perch for a drink and a conversation rather than a full meal.
It’s less suited to long sit-down dinners. A bar stool with an open acrylic back doesn’t support you the way a padded dining chair does.
Care and handling
Acrylic scratches more easily than glass, so wipe it with a soft microfiber cloth and a cleaner made for acrylic. Skip ammonia-based sprays, which can cloud the surface. Stack and ship the stools with protection between them, and don’t drag them across a hard floor, because the back is the part most likely to take a scuff.
